AR & Associates Rebranding

Client:
AR & Associates

Project:
AR Civil had outgrown their name as they were no longer only dealing with civil engineering. The new name is AR & Associates and the company now has Civil, Environment and Planning among their services. Their old logo had served them well for over a decade but it was now time for an update.
One criteria was to keep the snowflake from the old logo. I carefully stylised the snowflake to make it less ‘snow like’ and more technical looking and linked to their core business. The bars represent the three areas of expertise, Civil, Environment and Planning. In most of their projects all three services are interlinked and this is illustrated with the  semi transparency in the bars where they all meet. The three bars also also represent the X, Y Z cordinates used in engineering.

Logo Design – Various clients

I don not have a ’one fits all’ recipe for creating a logo as the nature visaul language vary so much from business to business. An effective logo is distinctive, appropriate, practical, graphic, simple in form and conveys an intended message. Extensive reasearch in to the market and the industries compeditors is a vital part of the process in creating a successful logo.

Kings School Website

Client: Kings School in Remuera

Project:
While working for Graphic Design Council I had the task of designing a new website for Kings School in Remuera.
Kings School wanted a website that would differ from most other primary school websites. Even with the large amount of information nedded on school websites they still wanted a website that is clear and uncluttered. The solution was to separate information for those who are thinking of applying for a place at the school and from the information for those who are already enrolled. This enbled a clean and spacious design.

Juicy Onion

Client: Juicy Onion Marketing

Project and execution:

Juicy Onion asked me to design a no frills clean logo that conveys their message.
The idea behind Juicy Onion Marketing’s logo is peeling away the layers of information until you get to the very core business of each client.
The logo’s icon also suggests a target board, which is key for all marketing, to find the right solution to get through to the target auadience.

Getting my own idea on the market. I came up with a quick and easy way to heat plates for better tasting dinners. I invented a plate warmer called Hot Plate.

As well as designing the product itself, I did the branding, designed the packaging, website and marketing material for launching Hot Plate. I set up production in a factory in Estonia and Hot Plate is now selling in 22 selected design and kitchen shops around Sweden.
